The Big VETe s – a 2 day elearning experience in 2009 On Thursday 26 and Friday 27 November there will once again be an e-learning extravaganza on offer for VET providers. This 2 day e-learning experience will offer the opportunity to share insights into the trials, tribulations and triumphs of education and training in the digital age with practitioners and managers from many organisations. Some highlights of this year’s event:
· Keynote and workshop opportunities with Cathy Moore. Cathy is an experienced designer who works assisting businesses to strengthen their instructional design skills for elearning, to ensure a pleasurable experience for the learner and a return on investment for the organisation. http://blog.cathy-moore.com/ · Plenary and workshop opportunities with Peter Higgs. Peter is the Tasmanian Polytechnic's Manager of Learning Technology. Peter has been involved in the redevelopment of the QTImPlayer since 2007 including Tasmanian Polytechnic's QTImPlayer and camera glasses trial in 2008. These devices allow learners to video record themselves performing workplace tasks and submit this video evidence for assessment.
· Shared experiences from participants in the Australian Flexible Learning Framework 2009 Innovation Projects.
· Launch of the Series 12 Toolboxes and an introduction to what’s new in the Toolbox suite by the QLD Toolbox Champion. · Sessions for managers and practitioners examining the ‘Business of e-learning’ and the ‘Tools of the trade for e-learning practitioners’. |
